Antique Chinese Shoushan Stone Foo Dog Seal Stamp (2.75")

This beautiful antique seal is carved from Shoushan stone, treasured in China for centuries and often mistaken for yellow jade because of its warm honey tone. Topped with a finely detailed Foo Dog (guardian lion), it symbolizes strength and protection. The underside features a traditional Chinese stamp still showing red ink from past use, linking it to the long history of seals prized by scholars and collectors since the Ming and Qing eras.

Measures approx. 2.75" x 1.75". Likely mid-20th century, continuing an art form that dates back hundreds of years.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with well-defined carving details. It has natural inclusions and subtle age wear expected of authentic Shoushan stone. No major cracks or chips. Red ink remnants remain on the stamp base. Please see photos closely as part of description and condition. Sold as is.
