This beautiful basket perfectly displays the natural beauty found in Tohono O'Odham hand woven artifacts. This basket is an excellent example of simplicity capturing beatuty. It is only made of coiled bleached yucca. No markings or decorations to indicate who created it. It was intended to be nothing more than a utility basket. Meaning it was used for whatever was needed at the moment in the home.
The basket measurements are as follows:
13 inches diameter
2 inches high for the rim of this shallow utility basket.
17 coiled rows woven together
There is some wear in two places in the top coil.
