This sugar bowl was produced and decorated by the Pouyat firm in Limoges, France, in the early 1920s, when the company was part of Guérin-Pouyat-Elite Ltd., a consortium formed during a period of postwar consolidation among prominent Limoges porcelain makers. Crafted in French porcelain, it features a decorative floral motif in blues, purples, greens, and gold, with heavy gold trim on the handles and finial. The rounded silhouette and raised base reflect Art Nouveau and Edwardian influences, typical of Limoges export ware during this era.
