Standing 8” tall, this Schramberg pottery vase is hand painted with a German Black Forest chalet in a meadow, a popular decoration on Schramberg pieces in the 1920s and 30’s
It is marked: Majolika, SMF in a shield, Schramberg, Handgemalt, 11. There is also an incised 4-digit number 2278 and II. The quality of the piece really shows in the feel of it; the glaze is very smooth. There are no cracks or crazing
This would be a wonderful addition to your pottery collection or as a stand along decorative piece
