Vintage 1960s Magna-Spot Magnetic Eye Ball design MCM space age- Solid Brass. This rare lamp appears to have stayed in the box since 1962, the brass is bright and shiny in the original box.
This "Magna Spot" lamp model with a stunningly modern design is a production of the firm "The Modern Lighting Company" in the UK.
Produced in the 1960s, and imported by ITT Lighting, it is made up of an openwork sphere in solid brass metal, and a magnetic support. The light sphere is mobile, independent of the base. It can be detached from the base and therefore lends itself to numerous utilitarian and decorative lighting combinations. The whole is supported by rigorous manufacturing, and focused quality control.
