This instrument was apparently in a fire at one point, but survived without any major structural problems. The finish is slightly charred, but is in fairly good shape considering. It has one slight seam separation on the back, but would probably be fine without any repair. If desired, one could fix it with wood glue and a clamp in a few minutes. It has all the strings, but would benefit from a string change. The hardware has corrosion, but would clean up nicely with some 0000 steel wool and oil. It has a haunting tone reminiscent of its haunting past. This would be a great easy project for any aspiring luthier. I had intended on restoring it, but other projects took priority.
