A lovely bonneted lady wearing a necklace adorns this antique 1880's-1890's Hamilton Tile Works art tile. The company was in business in the late 1800's and was located north of Cincinnati Ohio. The color is a forest green, and the enamel glaze has crackled with time. This tile has been salvaged and there is a chip in the upper left corner as shown; also a bit of mortar on the edges. Otherwise it's in excellent shape for a 125+ year old tile!
About 4 5/16 inches square by 7/16 to 1/2 inches thick including the raised design.
