This is a 40s black corduroy French hunting jacket.
It's a type called a game keeper jacket, which doesn't have game pockets.
There is a small damage on the flap of the right hip pocket,
the 4th button is slightly crushed,
and there is some rust transfer (?) or color fading (?) on the buttonhole, but
there are no tears in the lining, damage or wear to the corduroy, so I think it's in pretty good condition.
