What Ought to Be Can Be is a book of  sermons in which the teachings of Jesus are  made relevant to-the actualities of the  world today. The bold and straightforward  style of the author comimunicates cearly  the spiritual optimismn which characterizes  his faith in the society in which he lives. 

In addition to the main text, the book inclades a portrait of the author and four other photographs which llustrate high  points in his ministry; and a brief biography  written by Glenda Prather, wife of Thomas  J. Prather, both of whom are former Chairmen of the Board of Central Christian  Church Austin, Texas. 

A minimum of revision of the original  recording of the sermons has been made in  order to preserve the power and spontaneity  of the spoken word.
