This is a winter combat uniform for tank crews adopted by the US Army in 1942, commonly known as a "Tanker" (official name: Winter Combat Jacket). It has a simple design with no decorations, designed for tank crews operating in confined spaces. A front placket is provided on the front closure to protect against wind, and wool material is used for the lining to enhance heat retention.
Purchased from a military shop in the Ueno area.
It has not been used since purchase, and there are no noticeable stains, but please understand that it has been stored at home.
