Vintage 1950s sailboat nautical glass ceiling light. The base of this absolutely awesome and rare light fixture looks like a ship's helm, with six separate 3D brass/brass-like spokes screwed into the sides. Details on the face of the off-white glass shade are painted maroon and resemble a compass with stars. The side of the dome features three identical images of a schooner sailing with seagulls flying above. A really neat 2" brass anchor finial dangles from the center when the fixture is ceiling mounted.
Sizes:
The glass shade measures approx 9.5” across x 3 1/2" deep. The part that would be flush with the ceiling measures approx 14 1/2" across including spokes (12" without).
Incredible condition for its age! The shade has no nicks or cracks. A few spots where maroon paint has faded a little, but not a deal breaker (can also be touched up if desired). See last three pics for closeups.
