Kjell Engman paperweight circa 1999
Overall length is 3 3/4", height is 2 3/4", thickness is 1 1/2". It's a substantial chunk of art glass. This piece was cast, not blown. No flaws or signs of wear.
Kosta-Boda
Kjell Engman (1946–) was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists in the 20th and 21st century. After his art studies at ”Konstfack” in Stockholm, he has worked for the Kosta Boda glassworks for more than 40 years. Kjell became a prominent designer of glass vases, bowls, and sculptures with kitschy and humorous expressions. His artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
