Up for sale is an Antique Japan Hand Painted Famille Verte Hibiscus-Shaped Rim Porcelain Plate. The size is 12" in diameter.
This stunning piece was made around 1900s. Dipping method was used for the glazing, leaving behind 4 spots unglazed (where the fingers went when holding the plate for the dipping process.) The hand painted water-front scene features birds, water-grass and flowers, village houses on the bank and mountains in the behind. The vibrant, translucent enamels were well-preserved with minimal wears. There was no chips/cracks/damages found. Perfect condition for its age.
It is perfect for display and collectors!
