Signed first edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of Sironia, Texas Volume II by Madison Cooper (Houghton Mifflin, 1952). Signed and inscribed to what appears to have been Cooper’s publicity agent, Jack Leggett, using his earlier pseudonym Matt Cooper which he previously published short stories under. The magnum opus of the eccentric author and philanthropist from Waco, Texas. Very rare with original dust jacket.
Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with moderate wear to faces and heavier wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and tears. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. All pages clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
