The first quarter of this 5” vase is without markings. The 2nd quarter has etchings/hieroglyphics that encircle the vase. The bottom half has bulbous ribbing.
This interesting piece has a brown, yellow-gold look to it. I’m calling it copper, but it could be brass or bronze. It may even be “wrapped” around a heavier material as it weighs 1.1 lbs. It looks to be handmade with soldering marks in a couple places. The top rim slopes on one side which some might find adds to its charm of being handmade. Please check all photos. The underneath of the base is inscribed “EGYPT” which also looks hand etched.
