For sale is a rare vintage salesman sample box containing 25 individual tubes of Nupercainal Anesthetic Ointment. Produced by CIBA Pharmaceutical Company in Summit, N.J., this master box is marked "SAMPLE - NOT TO BE SOLD".
The large outer box shows significant age, discoloration, stains, and shelf wear, but it is structurally sound. Inside, it holds 25 smaller, individual 5 Gm. boxes. One small box has been opened for photography to reveal the contents: a metal tube of ointment, a plastic applicator nozzle, and a paper insert. The remaining 24 small boxes appear to be unopened New Old Stock (NOS).
