This is an original Hugo Koch German teddy bear made from wool Army blankets. The teddy was originally made in 1946 using GI blankets and given to the US occupation forces in appreciation for their assisting Hugo Koch and his family escape from Czechoslovakia. The Army transported his sewing machines, so that he could continue his business in Germany.
Measures roughly 14” tall, has 4 articulating joints, Sold as pictured.
