Ryukyu ware (Okinawa) or Tsuboya ware Sueyoshi kiln (now Nakagusuku kiln), Asahi pottery. It is described as a "kyōkun chawan" 教訓茶碗 "precept tea cup" that represents the saying of Hara Hachibu or Eat only until you are 80% full. It drains if "overfilled" above the 80% mark.
