Studies for the Trivulzio Monument, c1508 (1954). In 1508 Gian Giacomo Trivulzio, a Milanese aristocrat and military commander and governor of the city, commissioned Leonardo da Vinci to sculpt an equestrian statue for his tomb. Leonardo produced designs for the statue but it was never realized. Found in the collection of the Royal Library, Windsor Castle, Windsor. A print from Leonardo da Vinci by Ludwig H Heydenreich. Condition: Very good used condition. No major flaws to artwork or matting. Frame has minor surface wear consistent with age. Please review all photos for detail.
