Rare, fully natural seraphinite crystal cluster slab from eastern Siberia in Russia. Seraphinite is an uncommon, crystallized form the silicate mineral clinochlore, also known as angel wing stone. This high quality gem has beautiful chatoyancy and saturated, banded emerald green coloring. The font face has been hand polished to a glassy shine (while the sides and back left raw / rough) to show off the intricate natural banding and patterns. The lustrous plate of crystals show a deep green background with chatoyant, lighter green to teal and silver iridescent inclusions in feather like patterns. While mostly opaque, this specimen shows areas of translucency, allowing some light through the stone, creating a beautiful glow when backlit. A great Russian display specimen (that would also be perfect injewelry or wire wrapped!) measuring approx 5.8 by 4cm wide and tall and .5cm thick.
