Offered here is “Louie”, an original Joe Spencer Gathered Traditions art doll created exclusively for Gallerie II.
Louie stands approximately 9.5 inches tall and features Joe Spencer’s signature whimsical styling -expressive face, detailed stitching, and hand-painted accents. He has a glittery crescent moon head with tulle harlequin collar and a star hanging from twisted wire in his hands. He does lean to his left a bit, but he was that way when I purchased him so I think it is how he was made.
This piece is in excellent condition, complete with both the original hang tag and the manufacturer’s sewn-in tag still attached. He has been gently displayed in a curio cabinet for years in a clean, smoke-free home.
Louie stands securely and makes a wonderful addition to any Gathered Traditions or Joe Spencer collection. These early Gallerie II exclusives are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in this condition. Don't miss him!
