Fenton Bicentennial Commemorative Plate. This is the second plate in a series of four, issued on January 1, 1974, to celebrate the United States Bicentennial in 1976. It is made of powder blue satin glass and features an embossed colonial scene of Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson drafting the Declaration of Independence. The plate also has the dates "1776-1976" and the phrase "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness" along the rim. This series was an official Bicentennial project of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
