Carved from a single block of wood, this sculpture stands about 20 inches tall and weighs over 6 pounds. I think he is too big to be called a figurine, more accurately it is a small statue. I refer to him as a "Kitchen Mascot" because I picture him being most at home in the kitchen of a culinary enthusiast. Another suitable place for him might be in a restaurant or diner greeting the guests or by the cash register to say farewell.
The wood appears to be unfinished. It is carved from one solid block of wood except for a one inch cube filler piece in the rear left hand corner of the base. Country of origin: Philippines.
