Genuine vintage Taxco sterling silver brooch with glowing abalone shell inlay and sculptural modernist shape.
Stamped TAXCO STERLING 925 on back — likely 1950s or early '60s. Beautiful patina, strong organic curves, and rich natural color. This is not a pendant — brooch only (that stem can look like a bail). The beauty of Abalone is it's chamelon-like quality. You can see as it is styled with two different scarves, then a plan white background- how it picks up the color and feel of what you are wearing.
