A rare metal collectible thimble in the shape of a watermill from the Thimble Collectors Club's The Surprise Collection, 1980s.
Thimble Collectors Club (TCC) is a thimble collecting club. Three of the largest are known: American, English, and German. All of them were founded in the mid-1980s and are now defunct. TTC was essentially a distributor, selling thimbles from world-famous porcelain manufacturers by subscription. Initially, subscribers were sold one thimble per month. Thimbles were sold in boxes containing certificates. English and German certificates differ from American ones in that the latter were double-sided. In total, these clubs issued approximately 600 different thimbles.
