1929 Babe Ruth Spalding Baseball (Game used) Cameron Field authentic relic includes documentation from original owners. The note is authentic as well and is very old, aged ink.. this ball was the second owners biological fathers who then left it to him after passing away. It was given to the father in 1929 as a small child he attended a game at Cameron Field and also meeting Ruth during that game. There are articles online about this forgotten exhibition game. Attendees were charged $1 for attendance, and Ruth, Gehrig and others were there making historical memories for the town. Babe Ruth played that day and met his father, either giving him this ball or hitting it to him as it made it into his possession. Gehrig hit two homeruns the same game, possibly hitting a homerun with this very ball. It shows all signs of being hit hard and the indentations are still on the old leather. I am firm as this piece holds a special place in history.
