Beat, broken and bruised but a magnificent survivor, A feeling of history. Somebody gave this a lot of extra love over the years. 4 1/2” tall and the base is 2 3/4” across. Made in Germany. Deep green background color.
The Mathewson Hotel was constructed c. Built either 1858 or 1868 by S. W. Mathewson on Ocean Road accommodate up to 500 guests. The hotel was therefore torn down in 1919.
Point Judith Lighthouse is a well-known landmark in Rhode Island. It was built in 1810, making it the third lighthouse in Rhode Island. The original wooden lighthouse was blown down in the Great Gale of September 1815. The current lighthouse was built in 1856 and is still in operation. It is an octagonal brick building that stands 51 feet tall.
