Frank Beard, a renowned political cartoonist, ventured into creating hieroglyphic Bibles with works like "Picture Puzzles, or How to Read the Bible by Symbols" (1899) and "One Hundred Sermon Pictures" (1902). This edition, published in 1908 by The John A. Hertel, features traditional illustrations and is one of the last of its kind to gain widespread popularity.
