This vintage original 1957 MGM romantic comedy directed by the renowned film director Vincente Minnelli (“An American in Paris”, “Gigi”, “The Band Wagon”, “Cabin in the Sky” & “Meet Me in St. Louis” which featured then-wife Judy Garland) & starring Lauren Bacall & Gregory Peck. The film won an Oscar for “Best Screenplay”.
This original, vintage & authentic One Sheet (27" X 41") poster is in very good to near mint condition & is linen-backed with Jacques Kapralik’s signature clever & fun caricature artwork done by Lauren Bacall & Gregory Peck in & among stylish midcentury fashions. Kapralik was a legendary Romanian American caricaturist in Hollywood best remembered for his work with MGM in the 1940s. Before restoration, the poster looks like in was in excellent condition with minor wear & tear. Look carefully at the artwork which is very smart & innovative with a sly sense of humor (e.g., the poodle, the costume design drawing, the mannequin) The poster looks fantastic.
