A replacement sliding quick release plate for the ProMaster 24P video tripod kit.
This is a direct replacement quick release plate for the ProMaster 24P Video Tripod Kit (code 5889) It has both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting bolts as well as a spring-loaded, retractable anti-twist pin. The anti-twist pin is also removable.
Having both a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting bolt gives you the flexibility to mount this plate to most cameras (including DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and video cameras). Additionally, both bolts can be used at the same time with long lens collars that have two mounting ports. This creates an extra-secure, anti-twist connection with the lens.
The spring-loaded anti-twist pin can be used with a video camera having a compatible port in its base. If there is no port, the pin will move out of the way when the plate is installed. Alternatively, you can remove the pin from the quick release plate quite easily.
