It is characterized by a snake-like scale pattern (Snakewood: jamonboku).

☀︎Details
・To make it easy to hold, the shape is designed to be the most bulging slightly closer to the nib than the center.

・Sanding is done from coarse to 2000 grit, resulting in a very beautiful luster.

・Cutting is done while repeatedly checking to ensure there are no surface irregularities.

・The finish uses Kinuka Oil. The main ingredient is rice-derived, tasteless and odorless, and gentle on the skin.

★Snakewood
A hardwood of the Moraceae family.
It closely resembles the scales of a snake.
It is very hard and heavy, but dry and prone to cracking.
The irregular black mottled pattern resembles letters, so it is called Letterwood in Europe and America.
It is traded at high prices because it grows in few and limited areas.
