Liberty's newest Data cable is a special construction where the shield is fully encapsulated with non-conductive Mylar. There is no Drain wire. This special format has been around for a while, its original function was to drive cable diameters lower for UTP Cat6A 10G Networking. It has an added benefit for use in both Data and HDBaseT(R) runs by removing ground loop issues. Have you noticed HDBaseT runs where the Transmitters seem to go bad regularly? That is a symptom of a ground loop. Replacing the shielded cable with this "NCS" version lifts the ground loop without introducing a junction or patch out solution. Running the NCS version versus a shielded cable also helps as you can use cheaper unshielded (UTP) format jacks and plugs with this cable. Available in both Plenum rated and Riser rated formats, cure those grounding issues with this newest Liberty cable.
