This antique carved bovine bone like material Chinese statue sculpture is in poor condition. Item was tested with a hot needle to verify that it is NOT celluloid or plastic.
The statue has 1) a small chip on the backside of his head dressing and 2) a large chip on the statues front right hand side where he is missing his right hand and part of his shawl - see pictures. The wooden stand is also missing.
In perfect condition this statue would sell for $7,500. It is my opinion that a skilled craftsman can save this statue. Being sold "as is" for someone to repair or to use this LARGE piece of material in another project.
