While WYOTT-made mess kits with no contract markings are available, and recently produced boxed deadstock items with contract information are also circulating, this one has the U.S. dot marking, indicating it was issued in the 1980s.
There is a slight dent on the bottom, but no warping or burn marks, and the surface coating remains; it is unused deadstock.
These were not individually boxed during this era, but delivered in bulk, so there are some surface scratches.
Also included is a set of genuine U.S. military-issued cutlery: spoon + fork + knife.
Can be stored inside the mess pan.
Both items have no damage that would affect their use.
