Large drawstring bag for storing personal belongings.
It's called a barrack bag because it's a miscellaneous bag, but it's also called a laundry bag because it was used for things like laundry.
While the recent flat-bottomed types are still available at low prices, this one has a bottom made of herringbone twill fabric.
This is the final type of HBT fabric, unified to OD color from the 1940s khaki or OD HBT.
From the late 1950s, the bottom was made of OG-107 cotton satin, and then it switched to the flat-bottomed type.
A cutter tag (sewing tag) remains on the bottom.
The inner stamp is difficult to read, but it appears to be "BAG, BARRACK, OD 50-10", delivered in October 1950.
There is almost no color unevenness, and there are no tears, fraying, or markings, and the overall fading is minimal, making it a mint condition item.
Some places sell it as a deadstock item due to aging.
Many items have markings or stenciled affiliations, and those from the 50s and 60s tend to be in poor condition.
Outer dimensions: 58x80
Bottom: approximately 40x38
