1950s- 60's Original Rose Marie Reid of California Dare Back Swim Suit.
Rose Maries's swimsuits were known for being innovative and fashionable. Reid can contribute some of her success to her connection with the motion picture industry and starlets such as Rita Haywood, Marilyn Monroe and others wearing her suits.
Due to her swimsuits popularity worldwide her traveling awarded her the first woman in the US to fly 500,000 miles.
In 1963 Reid left her company due to a disagreement over the design and production of bikinis.
