Some mild CRAZING is noticeable when looking closely at figurine.
PLEASE NOTE: This sculpture was safely stored and never displayed
however, when I opened the box I found that there was some these was CRAZING which is a flaw in the firing process. Please see pictures and ENLARGE for details.
CRAZING seems to be a common problem with this series.
Crazing refers to small hairline cracks in glazed surfaces that usually appear after firing but can appear years later.
It is caused by a mismatch in the thermal expansions of glaze and body.
