The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic was a long-running PGA Tour event held in the Coachella Valley, California.
It was known for its celebrity participants, long format (5 days), and connection to entertainer Bob Hope.
Over the years, the tournament changed names due to sponsorships; Chrysler was the title sponsor from the mid-1980s until the mid-2000s.Today, it’s known as The American Express.
