Available is an antique Civil War era dress helmet. The helmet is pretty distressed and is missing its spike attachment on top. The helmet has its badge signifying it was worn by an officer in the "Excelsior" 1st Brigade formed by Governor George Sickles, New York. It was also known as Sickles Brigade, later the 70th Volunteers which in many significant battles including Gettysburg. The helmet is an estate find and being sold as found. Reasonable offers considered. It was an estate find in Western Massachusetts. MB11
