This hardcover junk journal was made using the cover from a book that could not be saved. It was printed in 1906 (in a foreign language), as you can see in the pictures the spine looks rough but good for it's age. I rescued and reinforced the spine with fabric, but wanted to keep as much of the covers charm as possible. There is a layered paper & fabric collage piece on the front cover and a cute little metal handle attached.
Measurements: 9.5 x 6.25 x 1.25 inches, while laying flat the mouth of the book is 3 inches!!
There are 2 sewn-in signatures with a total of 80 pages. Pages are mixture of tea-stained copypaper, brown kraft paper, scrapbook paper, and book pages.
There is a lot of ephemera for you to discover and unpack inside. There so many pockets, tucks, bellybands and envelopes- some even with hidden tucks spots and hidden writing spaces! There are handmade journal cards, tags, stationary, as well as misc. pieces for you to use.
