Collectors of unique vintage ceramics, vases, jugs, or clay containers and Asian history will find this piece quite interesting. The embossed writing on the ceramic clay container by Wing Lee Wai of China reads "Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-Use of This Bottle 4/5 Quart". Seller has learned from research that bottles of this type were manufactured in the mid-20th century (1940s–1960s). The embossed federal warning was required on alcohol containers for U.S. import or sale during that era — especially if the bottle was intended to be sold through U.S. liquor stores. This is a fun conversation piece to display!
