John Maddock & Sons
18" x 12-7/8" Restaurant Serving Platter
White Ground with an off-edge green band and a green verge line.

Made in England by John Maddock & Sons and furnished by Parmelee-Dohrmann Co. in Los Angeles, California, USA to their client, Cafe Bristol, which was located in the Hellman Building, 4th and Spring Streets, in Los Angeles from 1904 until at least 1939, possibly longer. The Cafe Bristol logo suggests this platter was made in the late 1930's and was likely used in the Men's Grill. Search online for more information about Cafe Bristol and the Hellman Building.

Pre-owned. Excellent Condition. No chips, cracks, cuts, crazing, cutlery marks. Minor discoloration on underside rim. Otherwise, normal wear from use. See photos.
