Antique French Handmade Floral Table Runner With Crochet

This handmade antique floral French piece is so pretty and unique. Beige cotton with an apricot and pink floral pattern, with large border of solid apricot fabric and a delicate crochet trim with ball fringe. As only two sides were finished in this manner, I'm not entirely sure if it was originally designed as a table runner, but that seems to me most likely. It would also make an ideal window valance (after a few simple alterations). may be exactly for what is was intended, as table runner/window valance. This item is just one of the handmade pieces I sourced from the same farm in France. Most everything is impeccably sewn, so it is rather surprising - and amusing - that solid cotton has an amateurish "pinking-shear" type edge.

Excellent antique condition, wear commensurate with age. There is some minor, barely perceptible fading, and a couple stains (haven't tried to remove)
