Santa Claus Story and Picture Book - Antique Book @ 1913 M. A. Donohue & Co. 150

This book was published by M. A. Donohue & Co. prior to Christmas 1913 as part of its Santa Claus Series. There is a gift inscription to a child from his grandmother dated Dec 25 1913 written in pencil but someone has written over the 1913 in pen. I believe the date to be accurate as I have another book this child received for Christmas in 1911 also published by M. A. Donohue. The only other writing in the book is a price and price code from an antique shop or bookstore written lightly in pencil on the flyleaf. There is one color plate in the book. There are many other illustrations, but no artist is credited. Although this book is over 100 years old, the binding is still tight and securely holding the pages. The pages are tanned, but free of tears of other staining. There is some spotting inside the covers. There is also edge wear to the covers and some smudging on the back visible on the white background. Please see the photos for condition
