FROM MY PRIVATE BAG COLLECTION!
Today I have an exquisite and totally bizarre Black High Quality Leather Clutch Bag - most likely from the 50's - with a built in hand strap on the back. The look and feel of this clutch is completely mesmerizing, I've never seen another like it!
The leather is textured, crushed and formed into an abstract, rather art deco design; almost quilted.
The closure bar is Silver Tone w embossed antique leaf scrolls; snaps shut firmly.
The grosgrain lining is nice and clean w 3 Interior Slip Pockets.
No tags or signature anywhere, but it has a German, Deco or Brutalist vibe.
It's in very good vintage condition overall.
Approx 9"W x 1.5"D x 7"H
It's hard to describe, much less understand, the unknown method of texturing and crushing needed to make this 'formed leather' bag. So cool!
