Florentine renaissance Savonarola chair hand carved in wood. Armrests have detailed, hand carved lion heads. The back rest is also highly decorated with elaborate detailed carvings The chair folds up perfectly in a matter of seconds, being an amazing example of Craftsmanship for the time. This chair was created in the 20th century, most likely in the 1960s to 1970s.

The title Savonarola Comes from the name of the Italian renaissance Dominican friar, Girolamo Savonarola, Who is renowned for his clash with tyrannical rulers and corrupt clergy.
Condition: This beautiful chair is in excellent vintage condition, minor dings noted that have been restained during its long life. Excellent condition for age. Would make an fabulous statement piece to any fine household or collection.
