This listing is for a vintage Wedgwood Cup and Saucer for Wesleyan University from 1939 with a green transfer print. These are in display condition with no chips. There is crazing on the inside of the cup and there are a couple of spots in the bottom of the saucer. The cup has a rough spot on the top of the handle and some discoloration in spots around the edge of the rim as well as a small crack just to the left of the seal on the outer edge of the rim. There is a "seal" on both the cup and saucer showing a bust of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism (Methodist Church) and the the inscription in Latin of "Universitas Wesleiana A.D. 1831". The saucer measures 6 inches across and the teacup measures 4 inches across. and is 2.5 inches tall. The mark on the bottom of the saucer says "Wesleyan University Middletown Connecticut, USA 1939. Wedgwood Etruria England" and another seal that says "Sole Importers Jones, McDuffee & Stratton Co. Boston". The cup has the same markings.
