This vegetable bowl was crafted by Haviland Limoges, France. Backmarks date it to between 1946 and 1962. Per Replacements, the pattern on this bowl has a Schleiger Number of 114b. It features blue and red scrolling with a string floral pattern (various colors) over an off-white porcelain band at the top of the bowl, with the center section being whiter. It has a gold trimmed rim to finish the design. It is in fine vintage condition (no chips, cracks, repairs, staining, or crazing observed), although there are light signs of use in the form of normal wear and utensil marks commensurate with age but difficult to see. There appears to be a small chip on the base, but it appears to have a glazed surface and is thought to be a manufacturing anomaly.
This item would make a wonderful addition to complete a collection or set, a replacement piece, or one component of a mix-and-match set. It would also make a very nice gift.
Dimensions measure 10 inches by 8.25 inches and 2.25 inches tall.
