These beautiful raku tea ceremony bowls were hand made and fired by Elizabeth A. Wamsley who at the time was the President of the Southern California Chapter of American Ceramic Artists . She now lives in Indiana where she has a gallery which displays her works and fellow artists as well.
These bowls are very unique in their design and the raku firing is stunning with high gloss interiors displaying tones of blue and amber as if looking at stain glass.
The exteriors have a high gloss border at the top which drips down to a wonderful charcoal, matt black base with a rough texture.
Seeing, holding and feeling these wonderful Tea Ceremony Bowls allows us to appreciate the form, color and textures Ms. Wamsley wanted us to experience with Raku.
These are NOT microwave or dishwasher safe.
