For your consideration is this amazing mod style cloche hat produced during the early 1960s. This hat is constructed of brown and black faux fur and has held up rather well over the years. The inside of the hat on the fabric is marked "Duchess / REG'D / BODY MADE IN ITALY". Additionally, there are two tags adhered to the band. One reads "Peggy Barton / ORIGINALS / ♥ YOUTH PERSONIFIDE", while the other reads "Helen of Memphis". I could not locate historical information for either but Helen of Memphis. Sadly, the fur shop located in Memphis, TN closed in 1988. The inside band measures approximately 22 inches in circumference. Scrunch it up or wear it tall...your preference. One of my favorite movie series is The Pink Panther. I can just see Mrs Clouseau wearing this piece. Such a classic and timeless look.Condition: Good overall condition. Steam Cleaned.
